Come…Take…Learn

Matthew 11:28-30

Repentance is bound up and salvation. Repentance is turning from sin and turning to Christ. Salvation is believing that Jesus is God. That He came to save people from their sins. That He came to save us. That He died of substitutionary death. That he rose from the grave on the third day. And he ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. That he has sent the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts. That he is coming back for us. Salvation is also a humble heart, met by a sovereign God who reveals His truth. It is a desperation that says one can’t carry the load of his or her sin anymore and turns away from sin and put its faith in Christ. We then submit to His lordship over our lives. True salvation is turning from sin to Christ with the willingness to help Him take control of our lives.
