The Secret of Evangelism

Colossians 4:2-4

Evangelism can feel like a daunting task. Though we want so strongly to tell others the gospel of Jesus, it is easy to feel ineffective or as if there is no real opportunity to witness to someone. It can seem like there must be a secret to sharing the gospel with people. In reality, there is a secret. And the Bible has been telling us the secret for more than 2,000 years. What is the secret, you ask? Read the verse above again. Paul wrote for you to “that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ”! The Bible tells you to pray that God opens a door, for an opportunity, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have wondered how some people seem better and evangelism than others, maybe it is because they have learned the secret of praying for doors to be opened.
